Middleton of Rora, Cruden Bay Golf Links

golf courses

There are some great golf courses on our doorstep with a range to suit all. Fraserburgh Golf Club is the seventh oldest in the world, it is thought that golf was first played at Cruden Bay in 1791, Peterhead, a relative youngster, being founded in 1841 is still the 18th oldest. Inverallochy and Newburgh both founded in 1888 give us five of these classic links courses all within 16 miles.

Cruden Bay is rated as the 52nd best course in the world while the Duff House Royal has a wonderful pedigree in that it was designed by Dr Alistair Mackenzie, renowned for Augusta. Both Royal Aberdeen, founded in 1790, and Murcar Links bear the hallmarks of master architect James Braid.

But not all courses are historic and challenging – There are 9 hole courses at Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Cruden Bay. There are lovely friendly courses at Longside, Oldmeldrum and Ellon too – all worth including on a golfing holiday.

To make sure your swing is right before you tackle them, the Berryhill Driving Range is 5 miles away.

We are happy to book your round of golf at any of these courses, some of which we can arrange a discount for if booked through us.
